Forum: movies Subject: Help with archive flash

hi - I am trying to view an archive of a website with embedded flash, but not getting the flash file.

i looked in the FAQ, it doesn't really discuss this issue, but I would greatly appreciate any assistance in determining (1) whether archive.org would be capturing the flash pages and (2) why a specific flash file may not have been captured.

i can't post the site publicly but could discuss privately if someone were able to help. I greatly appreciate it.

- Joel

You'll get mixed results with embedded media. If you check espn.com, their Flash content is intact, but it's mostly small single frame stuff. On the other hand, you won't be able to play Flash video in youtube.com. I'm sure there is a file size limit as they have to keep this somewhere and embedded media would take a lot of disk space.
